Progress on building eight courts at Rotary Centennial Park is moving forward thanks to donations from businesses and individuals and the hard work of AMAPA members supporting our fundraisers. We are waiting to hear from the City Council and the Hormel Foundation for project approval.
In good faith, AMAPA submitted a check to the City of Austin for 35,000.00 to cover the estimated cost of engineering design and cost estimates for the eight court project, which allows us to move forward with minimal delay once the project is approved.
AMAPA will contribute a total of $100,000.00 to the City of Austin for this project, and future funds will support court maintenance and improvements such as equipment, benches, lighting, and shade covers. Any ideas, support, or volunteer work you can provide is greatly appreciated.
