The Austin Minnesota Area Pickleball Association is a community dedicated to providing a fun and challenging pickleball experience for players of all skill levels.
Integrity
We value honesty and fair play on and off the court. If you know you made a fault, call it on yourself. If you can’t call a ball out, then it’s in. And it’s OK to defer to the other team to call a ball if you can’t make a call.
Respect
Encouraging a culture of respect among players of varying skill levels is a priority for us. Novice players should avoid entering matches where they might feel overwhelmed and degrade the game for more skilled players. Skilled players should refrain from targeting or slamming beginners simply due to their expertise – take the opportunity to help them improve their skills and have a fun time.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a fun, challenging, and welcoming environment for pickleball enthusiasts of all levels. Our current top priorities are:
- Growing the membership of AMAPA.
- Working with the City of Austin to establish outside courts.
- Working with the YMCA to optimize Pickleball options.
